Life-saver “secret menu” in After Effects

If you have problems with “out of memory” errors when rendering, Adobe After Effects has a secret menu about disabling layer cache to solve this problem. It is really so hard to understand, why adobe hid this life saver menu but anyway, we will learn now how to see this Easter-egg menu.

Hold down Shift key and select Edit > Preferences and select one of them, for example “General”

You will see a [Secret] section in After Effects Preferences,

You can disable layer cache, or set auto-purge during make movie.

It is a really life-saver tip in After Effects,
